My next manuscript

I started feeling a little out of sorts last week after sending off my manuscript to a couple of beta readers. I’ve been telling myself for weeks to step back from it because I  have to much emotional investment.

This was also a good time to get stuck into my “homework” from the editing course I’m doing. But once I’d completed my assignment I got the fidgets again.

I had also been struggling with where to start a second book. Was it going to follow on from the first or should I write something completely different? The answer happened automatically when I began a sequel to the first.

After a week I have my protagonist starting a new/continuing adventure six months after the end of the first story. As of last night I have 4500 words and it’s into the second chapter.
